Many individuals influenced how Scottish places were made when access to professions were limited for women: These include town planner Elizabeth Mitchell, antiquarian Christian Maclagan, Mrs Elizabeth M Reid who won a design for the Scottish Ideal Home exhibition in 1932. Susan Kemp's 2020 documentary of the Edinburgh Seven, In the Light, reveals connections between exclusions that were both educational and physical. Voices of Experience is an ongoing collaborative project that aims to build knowledge of women's contribution to architecture in Scotland. The Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland (Autumn 2019 magazine) included articles on women's impact on the built environment, including designers, clients. WMC Advisory Board member, Nina Baker researches histories of women in engineering, including Early Women Engineering Graduates from Scottish Universities The event took place online via Zoom.
