Researchers in residence

The network hosts the projects of three researchers-in-residence exploring women's contribution to urban environments through the themes of visualisations, professional practices and urban communities.

A critical-creative research project on the Glasgow drying green led by Esther Draycott.

This research, led by Freya Purcell, explores how women street sellers shaped the urban space around them in the 18th and 19th centuries, through a mixture of court records and visual culture.

The archive of writer Joan Ure is the primary site of the project, exploring the experience of women in post-war Glasgow. Dr Lottie Whalen leads the research.
